Maldives net salary calculator

A take-home salary is built in a specific order: pension is charged on the full basic, tax is charged on what is left, then unpaid days are deducted last. The order matters — get it wrong and a month with three unpaid days looks cheaper to pay than a month worked whole.

Change any figure below and the result updates instantly. This calculator works it out in the same order the product does — so a salary that matches a payslip here will match it everywhere.

/ month

Pension is charged on this alone, not on the gross.

/ month

Everything else taxable this month. Leave out any component your company has flagged non-taxable.

days

Half days count — enter 0.5. Approved paid leave is not an unpaid day.

Calendar days, not working days. A period running the 25th to the 24th is usually 30, sometimes 28 or 31.

Registered with the pension scheme

The employee's 7% comes off the basic and out of the tax base.

An estimate on the figures you typed, not a payslip. A real run also carries overtime, Friday allowance, service charge, late fines, loan and advance recoveries and any standing deductions — each one moves this number.

What a calculator cannot tell you, and a payroll has to

Unpaid days do not reduce your pension or your tax. The product charges pension on the full basic and tax on the full taxable package, then deducts absence afterwards as its own line — so a month with three unpaid days still carries a whole month's pension and a whole month's withholding.

The daily rate divides by calendar days, not working days. A pay period runs the 25th of one month to the 24th of the next, so the divisor is usually 30 and sometimes 28 or 31 — which changes what a day off costs.

Which allowances are taxable is a per-component setting. This page taxes everything you enter as an allowance; a real payroll excludes any component your company has flagged non-taxable, which lowers the base.

A payslip carries lines this page does not. Overtime, Friday allowance, late fines, loan and advance recoveries and standing deductions all ride the same run, and each one moves the net.

This calculator runs the same arithmetic as PayrollGenerator inside HumanR, re-checked against the product’s own test cases on every build. It runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored.
